Tour de Lead Graffiti:
23 posters in 23 days
This project is about translating the memorable moments from the stages and rest days of the 2015 Tour de France into wood and metal type. The title trys to capture a bit of the feeling we got from the whole process, often pulling a color sense and a bit of design from something that has stood out to us. The arrows at the top are taken from the Stage 14 poster which were also used on the pastepaper we made for the outside of the clamshell box. The story that day is one of the Tour ingredients that lifts the Tour de France, as an athletic endeavor, to its position in our minds.
We also wanted to subtly imply the circular element we used is many of the posters this year. The type was intended to suggest a bit of shouting.
This poster is only available with the purchase of the clamshell box edition.
