greeting card: 2016 holiday card
Jill did a splendid holiday card for Lead Graffiti for 2016.
She had been excited by some cards that have been done recently by Lindsay Schmittle of Gingerly Press. Lindsay has been using stacked triangles to represent landscapes with trees. Jill had been looking for a reason to use the "arrows" we would have made for each of our Tour de Lead Graffiti series.
With the size of the arrows they really work well with the handrolling we like to do. Jill made about 70 cards for us to mail and another 155 that we supply to the APA, a group of 150 letterpress printers, who share 4 printed projects each year. It took Jill 2 fairly long days to just do the handrolling.
The green is handrolled using 3 different colors and rollers and then a second run added the silver stars.
Adding the rounded corners contributed a nice softening to the geometric arrows and stars.
