APHA: What I'm UP to!

  • Lead Graffiti 120 A Sandy Drive, Sandy Brae Industrial Park Newark DE 19711 USA (map)

Lead Graffiti and the Chesapeake Chapter of the American Printing History Association (APHA) sponsor this monthly Zoom event. You don’t need to be an APHA member to join in.

The meeting is typically scheduled within the first 7 days of each month for anyone interested in sharing what they are up to. The day of the week rotates from Monday to Thursday to help students and teachers with night classes. The discussion focuses on issues related to the basics of the American Printing History Association, which the APHA website describes as the study of the history of printing and related arts and crafts, including calligraphy, typefounding, typography, papermaking, bookbinding, illustration, and publishing. You’re free to listen. Each individual’s session is ideally limited to 8-10 minutes per topic and discussion. You can cover more than one topic. Don’t feel bad about needing to leave the discussion; if you are interested in joining, contact us at least a couple of days ahead so we can get back in touch.

If you have material things to show, have good lighting or digital images you can share on your computer. Lead Graffiti, which uses Apple computers, typically uses Keynote to present work we want to share. You can see our Chesapeake Chapter’s page on the APHA website here.
