FREE LETTERPRESS INTENSIVE TOUR

WE TRY TO OFFER A COUPLE of free 90-minute to 2-hour letterpress intensive tours at the Lead Graffiti studio each month for up to 15 people at a time to discuss and answer questions about our letterpress studio subscriptions. As a letterpress maker space, we show various Lead Graffiti projects, including books, posters, wedding invitations, and cards, to give an idea of the range of possible projects you could expect to produce. You will get close-up views of our two Vandercook cylinder presses, floor-model platen, and iron hand presses and learn which projects work best on which press. Check our calendar to register for tour dates and times.

MONTHLY LETTERPRESS STUDIO SUBSCRIPTIONS

ANYONE WHO HAS TAKEN the appropriate Lead Graffiti printing workshop or can demonstrate proficiency can subscribe for press and studio time. You must commit to a minimum of 4 months for any subscription.

$50 per month = 2 hours of press time + 4 hours of studio time
$100 per month = 5 hours of press time + 10 hours of studio time
$200 per month = 12 hours of press time + 24 hours of studio time
$400 per month = 28 hours of press time + 52 hours of studio time

Extra hours of press time will be charged at $20 per hour, and extra hours of studio time will be charged at $5 per hour.

While you have access to all associated equipment (cutter, drying racks, etc.), you must provide your paper, or you can buy it from us if we have it in stock. We will provide a reasonable amount of ink for your rental or studio subscription fee. You’ll need to schedule your working time, and either Jill or Ray will be present in the studio working on projects and available for advice or help.

Click “Calendar” here or at the top of the navigation to see our schedule for days when the presses or studio might be unavailable.

Please email us, and let’s get the discussion started.
